Hi Gang !

Well, summer finally got here and flying season is in full swing. Although it seems like everybody is getting plenty of stick time, there have been comments that the spring and summer winds have been above average in blowing.

Last week our field got some well needed maintenance and repairs. Al Brose, Ray Donati, and Fred and Brian Nowak put up new poles and fencing, did grass trimming, airplane station repairs, and even installed a new windsock. Fred Nowak took it upon himself and striped the field before our June Fun Fly. When you see these club members at the field next time, tell them "thanks" for their time and efforts in maintaining our flying site so the rest of the members can enjoy a nice, clean flying field.

At our June meeting, club member Fred Nowak gave a brief and informative seminar on fiberglassing parts.

Remember, because of the July 4th holiday, our club meeting will be held on July 11th. Our seminar will be on the subject of proper prop balancing, given by fellow club member Dan Knippen.

Club Secretary Ray Tinley is out of the hospital and at home recovering, however he is still in a lot of pain. I’m sure Ray would like to hear from the membership with a card or phone call.
